AI Visibility.

Privacy and terms

Privacy and terms.

Short version: the plugin works inside your WordPress site, sends almost nothing anywhere, and stores nothing about your visitors.

This website

This site has no analytics, no cookies, no tracking scripts and no forms. It is a set of static pages served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs for security, under its own privacy policy. Fonts load from Google Fonts.

What the plugin stores on your site

  • Its settings and the result of each check, in your WordPress database.
  • AI referral counts: the assistant (such as ChatGPT), the page path, the day and a count. Never IP addresses, cookies, user agents or query strings. A salted hash of the visitor's network lives for ten seconds to stop floods, then expires.
  • The AI bot log: which bot, the path, the status code, whether its IP was verified, and the time, kept 90 days. No user agents and no humans. One exception: on hosts that cannot verify Googlebot or Bingbot right away, that bot's address is held until the daily check, then erased.

Uninstalling the plugin deletes all of it, on every site of a multisite network.

What the plugin sends, and when

  • Bot access check, only when you click. Your site address and a random per-site token go to the checker service at aibotaccesschecker.com, run by Misha Manko. The service loads your public homepage and robots.txt as a browser, a test Googlebot and several AI bots, and returns the status codes, your robots.txt and your homepage robots tags. It sends your token back on those requests so your bot log can skip them. Site addresses are not stored; only a daily count of checks is kept.
  • IP ranges, daily, while the bot log is on. The plugin downloads the address lists OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Cloudflare publish, to tell real AI bots from impostors. Nothing about your site or visitors is sent. The first download happens a day after activation, or when you click "Fetch now".
  • IndexNow, only if you switch it on. On publish, update or trash, the page address, your host name and your IndexNow key go to api.indexnow.org, which shares them with the search engines that take part (Microsoft Bing and others).
  • WebSub, only if you switch it on. On publish, your feed addresses go to Google's public hub at pubsubhubbub.appspot.com.

Every other check runs inside WordPress against your own pages. Nothing is sent on activation, and the plugin has no tracking.

Terms

The plugin is free software under the GNU General Public License v2 or later, provided as is, without warranty. The checker service is free to use from the plugin and may change or rate-limit requests to stay available. Use it on sites you run or have permission to test.

AI answer engines decide on their own what to cite. The plugin improves the conditions for citation and does not promise any result.
